Born in New Jersey, USA, grew up on Long Island.
Studied in Pennsylvania and Washington and was influenced by high school art teachers to establish his own style of painting.
In 1950, he established a studio (atelier) in Laguna Beach, a resort area in Southern California, and devoted himself to production.
1978 Opened JOHN BOTZ Gallery in Laguna Peach.
Due to the relaxed atmosphere peculiar to John Botz, the paintings and colors are beautifully connected to create a painting with eternal enjoyment.
